We exist to help socially-minded organisations raise their game. Formed back in 2008 – with roots in the business of sport – our journey has seen us work with organisations of all shapes and sizes right across the sport, voluntary and education sectors: growing to a team of 20 full-time staff. In the last twelve months alone, we have secured just over £12m for our clients – empowering a group of socially-minded organisations to grow their work, reach more vulnerable people, and ultimately change lives across the UK. These organisations include sport-for-development focussed charities such as Magic Bus and Laureus Sport for Good Foundation; Premier League level club community organisations such as the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, Leicester FC Community Trust and West Ham United Foundation; and national organisations such as AOC Sport, Serco Leisure, and the Lawn Tennis Association. Our work with these award-winning organisations has received its own plaudits too – with Oaks shortlisted as provider of the year at the Football Business Awards and Sports Business Awards in the last few months of 2018.
We also work particularly closely with Sport England as part of their Commercial Framework: acting as one of six approved business development partners to provide business planning and strategic support for national governing bodies of sport. Sport England believe that National Governing Bodies face challenges in their ability to diversify and attract income from other sources. In the last six months alone, Sport England have commissioned us to support England Boxing, British Fencing, Rounders England, Boccia England and Goalball UK, the Bowls Development Alliance and British Wrestling to create strategic plans and identify opportunities for income diversification.
