Fight for Peace works to realise the potential of young people in communities affected by crime and violence. Founded in Brazil in 2000, today the organisation is present in 25 countries around the world through Academies in Rio de Janeiro and London, Safer Communities Programmes in Jamaica and South Africa, and via partners trained in the Fight for Peace Alliance.
The Fight for Peace Academy in Newham, east London, delivers programmes to young people aged 7-25 years old based on the organisation's Five Pillars methodology, which combines Education and Employability support with Combat Sports training, Youth Leadership opportunities and wrap around Support Services.
Through these holistic and integrated programmes, Fight for Peace invests in the personal development of young people, ensuring that they have access to the opportunities, support and safe environment they require to succeed and become champions in life.
In 2018, Fight for Peace worked with 988 young people at its London Academy.
