The Beyond Sport Global Awards 2017 are now open for entries.
The categories for this year’s awards are aligned with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, otherwise known as the ‘Global Goals’ and will showcase how sport can make an impact on the desired outcomes of the UNSDGs.
If the Global Goals are achieved, it would mean an end to extreme poverty, inequality and climate change by 2030. Beyond Sport are calling on any organisation, programme, campaign, initiative, brand, sports team or league to share how they are using sport to take action for the Global Goals.
This year, there are opportunities to showcase unique partnerships and real impact, giving organisations who have applied in the past the ability re-apply for new categories that are most applicable to their respective activities and outcomes.
The Beyond Sport Global Awards 2017 categories are as follows:
- Sport for Health and Well-being Award
- Sport for Equality Award
- Sport for Innovation and Tech Award
- Sport for Peace and Social Justice Award
- Best Partnership or Collaboration
- Sport for Climate Action
- Sport for Sustainable Cities and Communities Award
- Best Corporate Campaign or Initiative in Sport for Good
- Global Impact of the Year Award
